Mr Toole predicted the project would transform the way the school operated moving forward.
"We want regional kids to have the best education possible - and part of that is ensuring they have the facilities to support that," Mr Toole said.
"This upgrade will completely change the learning experience for Braidwood's students, giving them access to eight new flexible learning spaces and specialist music and drama spaces.
"Not only will the upgrade allow teachers to deliver an integrated curriculum in a more engaging and supportive environment, it has also supported the local economy by providing local jobs/contractors while work was carried out."
In addition to new learning spaces, the upgrade includes outdoor and landscaped play areas, as well as improved administration and staff facilities, expanding the permanent accommodation at the school to support 395 students.
Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said the school was one of many regional facilities that were in need of funding.
"This project at Braidwood Central School has delivered the high-quality school resources students and teachers deserve," she said.
"The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW."
